昨晚10時38分，西貢大網仔路發生一宗致命交通意外。一名男子駕駛電單車，沿大網仔路往北潭涌方向行駛，至斬竹灣位置突然失控自炒，鏟向路邊一個金屬回收桶，電單機翻則，司機倒臥地上昏迷。
同行另一電單車上1男1女友人見狀報警。救護員接報到場，將昏迷男司機送往威爾斯親王醫院急救，惜搶救後於11時30分證實不治，警方於現場調查意外起因。
Last night at 10:38 pm, a fatal traffic accident occurred on Tai Mong Tsai Road, Sai Kung. A man was riding a motorcycle heading north towards Pak Tam Chung, when he suddenly lost control and crashed into a metal recycling bin on the side of the road at the location of Tsam Chuk Wan. The motorcycle flipped and the driver fell unconscious on the ground.
His friends, a male and a female riding on another motorcycle, witnessed the incident and immediately called the police for help. Paramedics arrived at the scene and rushed the unconscious driver to Prince of Wales Hospital for emergency treatment. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at 11:30 pm after unsuccessful resuscitation efforts.
The police are currently investigating the cause of the accident at the scene.
