晚上7時27分，西貢西貢公路發生一宗交通意外。一名58歲女子於上址西貢公路380號橫過馬路，其時一輛往西貢碼頭方向專線小巴駛過，即時收制及扭軚閃避，但未及避開女子，被撞女子身體多處受傷，受重傷倒臥地上。
救護員趕至，將昏迷女子送往將軍澳醫院，急救後於晚上8時59分證實不治。意外現場樓下剎車車胎痕，小巴車頭玻璃破裂。該名司機涉嫌危險駕駛導致他人死亡被捕，現正被扣留調查。東九龍總區交通部特別調查隊正跟進調查案件。
A tragic traffic accident occurred on Sai Kung Road in Hong Kong last night at 7:27 pm. According to reports, a 58-year-old woman was hit by a green minibus travelling towards Sai Kung Pier while crossing the road at 380 Sai Kung Road. Despite the minibus driver's attempts to brake and swerve to avoid hitting her, the woman sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead at 8:59 pm after being rushed to the Tseung Kwan O Hospital.
At the accident site, investigators found tire marks on the road and a broken front windshield of the minibus. The driver of the green minibus was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving causing death and is currently being detained for investigation. The Traffic Investigation Division of the Kowloon East Regional Headquarters is actively investigating the case.
