下午2時21分，青衣西路發生致命交通意外。一名33歲男子駕駛電單車於青衣西路往九龍方向行駛，駛至寮肚路交界與一輛轉入寮肚路小巴迎頭相撞，電單車司機連人帶車翻則，倒地重創昏迷。電單車及小巴兩車均嚴重損毀，碎片散落滿地。救護員到場將電單車司機送往瑪嘉烈醫院急救，惟於3時48分證實不治。63歲小巴司機則未有受傷，並於現場協助警方調查意外成因，及後以涉嫌危險駕駛引致他人死亡被捕，現正被扣留調查。
A fatal traffic accident occurred on Tsing Yi West Road today at 2:21 pm this afternoon. According to reports, a motorcycle travelling towards Kowloon collided with a minibus turning into Liu To Road at the junction. The impact caused the motorcyclist to flip over along with the motorcycle, resulting in serious injuries and unconsciousness. Both vehicles sustained severe damage, and debris was scattered across the scene.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and rushed the motorcyclist to the hospital for emergency treatment. Unfortunately, the victim was pronounced dead at 3:48 pm. The minibus driver was not injured and cooperated with the police in their investigation into the cause of the accident. It is speculated that the accident may have been caused by a red light runner.
The accident caused significant traffic disruption in the area, with vehicles being diverted and causing delays. The police have urged drivers to exercise caution and comply with traffic laws to avoid similar accidents. The investigation into the accident is ongoing, and more details will be released as they become available.
