日本官方宣布，將於5月8日起，進一步放寬邊境措施，並將新冠傳染病級別下調至5級。
相關於邊境措施，包括臨時措施將會解除，只維持有發燒或咳嗽等症狀的入境者進行病毒基因測試。對中國內地入境日本的旅客，若已經接種3針新冠疫苗，由5月5日週三起無需再出示72小時內新冠檢測證明，但仍會進行抽樣落地檢驗。
Japan to Relax Border Controls and Lower COVID Alert Level
The Japanese government announced today that it will further ease border restrictions and downgrade the coronavirus disease risk level starting May 8.

Temporary border measures will be lifted entirely, though testing will still be required for incoming travellers showing symptoms like fever or cough. Chinese visitors who have received three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine will no longer need proof of a negative test for entry as of May 5. However, random landing tests may still be administered upon arrival.
Japan's move signals its gradual reopening as vaccination rates rise and case numbers decline domestically. Despite relaxed measures, some screening will persist to prevent another surge.
