早前一名60歲的士司機，涉嫌以仿製山寨iPhone，訛稱失物，向的士乘客兜售。60歲的士司機前日落網。
警方分別於3月23日、4月1日及9日接獲3名年齡介乎45至51歲受害人報案，表示於乘搭涉事的士期間，俾司機以低價兜售手上手機。3名受害人分別向該名司機支付約1500、2000及2500元購買手機，受害人其後檢查發現所購買的手機為仿真手機，遂報案求助。
案件由油尖警區刑事部跟進調查，於12日在元朗區拘捕一名60歲姓周本地男子，據稱男子訛稱手機為上一手乘客失物，並無安裝SIM卡，故未能聯絡失主而低價兜售。警方以涉嫌「以欺詐手段取得財產」拘捕男子，並於男子住所檢獲9部涉嫌與案件又關的仿製手機被捕男子現正扣留調查。
警方強調，任何人干犯香港法例第210章《盜竊條罪例》第17條「以欺詐手段取得財產」罪，最高刑罰可被判監10年。
A 60-year-old taxi driver was recently arrested for allegedly selling counterfeit iPhones to passengers by falsely claiming they were lost property. The suspect was arrested on the previous day.
Police received reports from three victims between the ages of 45 and 51 on March 23, April 1, and April 9. They reported that while riding in the suspect's taxi, he offered to sell them iPhones at a low price. The victims paid approximately HKD 1,500, HKD 2,000, and HKD 2,500 respectively for the phones, only to later discover that they were counterfeit. The victims subsequently reported the incidents to the police.
The case was investigated by the Criminal Investigation Division of the Yau Tsim police district, and on the 12th, a 60-year-old man surnamed Chow was arrested in Yuen Long. The suspect allegedly claimed that the phones were lost property from a previous passenger and were without a SIM card, thus making it impossible to contact the owner. He was arrested on suspicion of "obtaining property by deception," and nine counterfeit phones were seized during a search of his residence. The suspect is currently being detained for further investigation.
