消息指行政會議通過調高亂拋垃圾，店舖阻街及非法棄置建築物料罰款。亂拋垃圾罰款將由現行1500元提升至3000元；而阻礙街道及非法棄置建築廢料則加至上限6000元。環境及衛生局現正向立法會提交修訂條例草案，預料最快今年年底實行新罰款。
The news refers to the approval by the administrative council to increase fines for littering, obstructing streets and illegally dumping building materials. The fine for littering will be raised from the current amount of 1500 Hong Kong dollars to 3000 Hong Kong dollars, while fines for obstructing streets and illegally dumping building waste will be increased to a maximum of 6000 Hong Kong dollars. The Environmental and Hygiene Bureau is currently submitting a revised draft of the legislation to the Legislative Council, and it is expected that the new fines will be implemented by the end of this year at the earliest.
