晚上7時26分，元朗錦壆路東有途人驚現一名婦人淌血倒臥行人路上，大驚並報警處理。警員及救護員趕赴現場，發現該名女子頸及背部有刀傷並且身體多處受傷，腹部腫脹，面部嚴重毀爛，殘骸散落一地，並留下一大灘血漬，於現場被證實死亡。
警方封鎖現場進行調查，並於附近進行搜索，及後於附近草叢中檢獲一把電鋸、一把三十厘米長的牛肉刀及一對手套，懷疑與案有關。經警方初步調查，將案件列為謀殺案處理，稍後將安排為死者進行驗屍，以確定其死因。元朗警區重案組正積極調查案件。
Police are investigating a murder case that happened in Yuen Long yesterday (May 20) night, in which a 54-year-old woman died. At 7.26 pm, Police received a report that a woman was found lying unconscious on a footpath on Kam Pok Road East.
Police officers sped to the scene and found multiple cut wounds on the woman’s neck and back. Also sustaining multiple injuries on her body, the woman was certified dead at the scene. After an initial investigation, the case was classified as murder.
An electric saw, a 30-centimetre-long beef knife and a pair of gloves in suspected connection with the case were seized at the scene. Post-mortem examinations will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of death of the deceased. An active investigation by the District Crime Squad of Yuen Long District is underway.
