海關今日採取「放蛇」行動，打擊藥店涉使用不良行商手法進行銷售的違法行為。海關人員於尖沙咀一間藥店橋裝試購員，有店員向他們推銷賺買花旗參，並故意以誤導手法以980元一斤出售，當試購員同意購買並將花旗參切片後，店員轉稱該花旗參以每兩為單位計算，總數合共為15650元一斤，貴原價16倍價錢。
海關在行動中拘捕2名涉案的男店員，涉嫌以誤導性遺漏銷售手法推銷貨品，違反商品說明條例被捕。
Hong Kong customs carried out an operation today to crack down on illegal activities by pharmacies that use unscrupulous business methods for sales. Customs officers sent an undercover shopper to a pharmacy in Tsim Sha Tsui, where a salesperson tried to sell them American ginseng and intentionally misled them by offering to sell it for HKD 980 per pound. When the shopper agreed to buy and had the ginseng sliced, the salesperson claimed that the ginseng was sold in units of two, with a total price of HKD 15,650 per pound, which was 16 times the original price.
During the operation, customs arrested two male salespeople for suspicion of using misleading omissions in the sale of goods, violating the Trade Descriptions Ordinance.
