消防處更換新一批急救醫療電單車，引入兩款電單車包括新式急救醫療電單車、及快速應變電單車。現時服務中的47輛電單車將於今年逐步由新款電單車取代。
其中急救醫療電單車輕巧靈活，兼被越野性能，配備先進醫療器材包括心臟除顫器，可讓人員第一時間到達現場拯救傷者；另外快速應變電單車是消防處首部應用於行動用途的電動車，特點是環保及行車寧靜，亦改善車輛性能及剎車系統等，令車輛於狹窄道路更加靈活，亦能快速充電，充滿時間只需1小時40分。兩款新型電單車已於今日於兩個救護站投入服務。
The Fire Services Department is replacing a new batch of emergency medical motorcycles. Two new models of motorcycles will be introduced, including a new emergency medical motorcycle and its first battery-powered rapid response motorcycles. The existing 47-strong emergency response motorcycle fleet would be upgraded to a new petrol-powered model by the year's end.
The emergency medical motorcycle is lightweight and flexible, with off-road capability and equipped with advanced medical equipment including a defibrillator, allowing personnel to reach the scene in the shortest time to rescue the injured. The battery-powered rapid response motorcycle features environmental friendliness, quiet driving, improved vehicle performance and a braking system, making it more agile on narrow roads and allowing for rapid charging with a full charge time of only 1 hour and 40 minutes. The two new types of motorcycles were put into service at two ambulance stations today.
