荃灣一名40歲男子半年內至少次涉店舖盜竊，昨日被警方拘捕。
荃灣警區警員針對便利店盜竊案進行打擊罪案行動，根據情報及翻查閉路電視，於葵涌區一間店舖拘捕該名懷疑正在進行店舖盜竊的男子。據悉該名男子與2022年9月至今年3月7日期間至少17宗發生在荃灣及葵涌區的便利店、超級市場及連鎖藥房的店鋪盜竊案有關，共盜去總值約一萬五千元貨物，包括營養補充品、藥品及避孕套等。警方行動仍在行動中，不排除有更多人被捕。
警方提醒商戶採納保安措施防如安裝凸鏡、裝置電子監察器偵察店內盜竊活動等措施，減低被盜竊的風險，並強調盜竊是嚴重罪行，一經定罪，可判處監禁十年。
The police officers of the Tsuen Wan Police District conducted a crime suppression operation targeting convenience store theft cases. Based on intelligence and CCTV footage, they arrested a male suspect who was believed to be committing theft in a shop in the Kwai Chung district. It is reported that the man is involved in at least 17 convenience store, supermarket, and chain pharmacy theft cases that occurred between September 2022 and March 7th of this year in the Tsuen Wan and Kwai Chung areas. A total of about HKD 15,000 worth of goods were stolen, including nutritional supplements, medicines, and condoms. Police operations are still ongoing, and more arrests cannot be ruled out.
