今日下午1時29分，一名跟車工人於貨車上沿青朗公路汀九橋行駛，期間他向貨車司機表示身體不適，司機遂將貨車停泊於路邊，未幾該名跟車工人突然下車，並跨越橋面欄杆，從橋面一躍而下，墮落橋底位置。
一名女司機剛巧駛經，驚見情況於是報警求助。消防到場搜索後發現該名男子，惟已證實當場不治，由消防船送往荃灣西公眾碼頭。警方事發後於現場調查事故起因。
A tragic incident occurred this afternoon on Tsing Long Highway Ting Kau Bridge, where a man working as a helper on a truck jumped off the bridge and fell to his death. The incident took place at around 1:29pm when the man informed the truck driver that he was feeling unwell and asked to stop. After the vehicle was parked on the side of the road, the helper suddenly jumped off the bridge, leaving the driver in shock.
A passing female driver witnessed the incident and immediately called the police for assistance. The fire department arrived at the scene and conducted a search, eventually finding the man who had already passed away. His body was transported by a fireboat to the Tsuen Wan West Public Pier. The police are currently investigating the cause of the incident.
