今早9時許，有途人發現一輛私家車停泊於青衣青馬橋往機場方向慢線，並赫見一名中年男子跨過大橋圍欄，擔心他跳橋於是報警。警方接報後出動消防及水警趕往現場，但只見私家車不見其人，懷疑事主已跳橋，水警在附近海面搜索，直至早上10時許在馬灣魚排救起61歲姓何事主，救起時已昏迷，送往仁濟醫院後搶救不治。
警方在現場搜查私家車，發現事主的背囊，並在車頭錶板位置發現一張寫上開啟手機密碼的紙條，以及檢獲遺書，經初步調查後相信事主因感情問題而輕生。
This morning at around 9 am, a passerby discovered a parked private car on the slow lane of the Tsing Ma Bridge towards the airport direction. They also saw a middle-aged man crossing the bridge railing and became concerned that he might jump off the bridge, so they called the police. Upon receiving the report, the police dispatched firefighters and marine police to the scene. However, they only found the car, but not the man. They suspected that the man had jumped off the bridge, so the marine police conducted a search in the nearby waters.
Around 10 am, the marine police rescued a 61-year-old man surnamed Ho at the Ma Wan Fish Raft. He was already unconscious when he was rescued and was rushed to Yan Chai Hospital for treatment but was later pronounced dead.
The police searched the private car at the scene and found the man's backpack. They also discovered a note with a phone password written on it on the dashboard and a suicide note. After a preliminary investigation, the police believe that the man committed suicide due to relationship problems.
