沙田禾輋邨下午2時45分發生火警, 現場為禾輋邨順和樓一單位，單位冒出大量黑煙及火舌，消防接報到場，出動一條消防喉及一隊煙帽隊開喉灌救，並出動搜救隊，大約半小將火救熄，在起火單位內發現一具燒焦女屍。 據稱女死者為一名50多歲婦人，與家人同住，經常從街上收集紙皮，事發時婦人正點燃香燭，疑焫著紙皮導致火災。
A fire broke out in a unit at Shun Wo House, Wo Che Estate, Sha Tin at 2:45 pm. The fire occurred in Unit 1 of Shun Wo House in the estate, with thick black smoke and flames pouring out of the unit. The fire department was alerted and rushed to the scene to put out the fire and rescue people, including deploying search and rescue teams. Upon searching the burning unit, they found the charred remains of a female body. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
