今日傍晚約6時29分，警方接報西灣河筲箕灣道一幢大廈有簷篷的石屎剝落，擊中一名男途人。現場為西灣河筲箕灣道33-55號麗灣大廈，外牆簷蓬有約10吋乘15吋石屎剝落並露出鋼筋，石屎擊中一名男子頭部，男子受傷流血送往東區醫院治理，送院時清醒。消防員在現場架起雲梯清理簷篷批盪，其後屋宇署人員到場視察。警方正調查事件。
A man was injured when concrete fell from a building in Sai Wan Ho earlier this evening. According to police reports, the incident occurred at around 6:29 pm on Shau Kei Wan Road at the Lai Wan Building. The victim was struck by a piece of concrete approximately 10 inches by 15 inches in size that had fallen from the eaves of the building, exposing steel reinforcement. The man was sent to the Eastern Hospital for treatment and was conscious during transportation. Firefighters were called to the scene and used a ladder to clear the fallen debris. Representatives from the Buildings Department also arrived to inspect the building. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
屋宇署就事件派員視察，並在消防處架起的升降台協助下檢視位於筲箕灣道行人路上方的樓宇二樓底部，發現該位置有約600毫米乘600毫米的石屎／批盪剝落，大廈的整體結構沒有明顯危險。按屋宇署人員的要求，該大廈業主立案法團（法團）已即時安排承建商於有關位置豎設臨時保護措施，並將於未來數日移除其餘可能鬆脫的部分，以確保公眾安全。
上址大廈的樓齡約58年。屋宇署較早前就樓宇的公用部分向有關法團發出強制驗樓法定通知，雖然涉事大廈已進行驗樓，但仍需完成修葺工程，相關強制驗樓法定通知方被視為遵辦。據了解，麗灣大廈屬「樓宇更新大行動2.0」計劃下的第一類別樓宇，大廈法團正自行安排樓宇修葺工程。屋宇署會繼續跟進，並要求法團提交工程時間表，盡快進行維修，遵辦法定通知。
