醫管局行政總裁高拔陞公布，今早收到報告，指葵涌醫院今日凌晨3時許一間病房診症室塌天花，有石屎倒冧，導致傢俬及電腦器材損毀。
葵涌醫院行政總監阮家興於今午表示，塌天花地點為該院L座兒童及青少年精神科病房的診症室，當時沒有病人在內，倒冧的石屎面積最大的一塊碎片約30x30厘米，受影響範圍約1.5平方米。院方表示事後已立即封鎖病房，移走附近病房的病人，並已安排維修，確保病人安全。
根據資料顯示，青山醫院一個病房去年11月有石屎由天花掉落事件，屬同一承辦商。
The Chief Executive of the Hospital Authority, Ko Pak-sing, announced that a report was received this morning indicating that the ceiling of a consultation room in a ward at Kwai Chung Hospital collapsed at around 3 am today, causing damage to furniture and computer equipment due to falling debris.
The Hospital Authority's Director of Operations at Kwai Chung Hospital, Yuen Ka-hing, stated this afternoon that the location of the collapsed ceiling was in the consultation room of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Ward in Block L of the hospital. There were no patients inside at the time of the incident, and the largest piece of debris from the fallen ceiling was approximately 30 x 30 centimetres, with an affected area of about 1.5 square meters. The hospital immediately sealed off the ward, moved nearby patients to other areas, and arranged for repairs to ensure the safety of patients.
According to the information, a similar incident of falling debris from the ceiling occurred in a ward at Castle Peak Hospital in November last year, which was also under the same contractor.
