昨晚(18日)21時22分，警方接獲一名女子報案，指其兒子反鎖於藍田平田邨平信樓寓所內。消防趕至爆門入內查看，發現戶主兒子與其女友倒臥在一盤燒過的炭旁邊，其時已昏迷不醒， 檢查後證實兩人已死亡。警方在現場檢獲遺書，將案列作「自殺」，兩名死者死因有待驗屍後確定。初步調查不排除有人因欠債問題輕生。
At 9:22 pm yesterday, the police received a report from a woman stating that her son was locked inside their flat on the Ping Tin Estate Ping Shun House in Lam Tin. The fire department rushed to the scene and forced the door open, only to find the son of the flat owner and his girlfriend lying unconscious next to a burning charcoal stove. Upon examination, it was confirmed that both individuals are dead. The police are currently investigating the case.
The police have found a suicide note at the scene and are treating the case as a suicide. The cause of death for the two deceased individuals is pending further examination by the coroner. Preliminary investigations have not ruled out the possibility that the suicide may have been related to financial issues and debts owed by the individuals.
