下午大概1時，警方接獲一名男子報案，稱於西貢蠔涌路一間組合屋內發現一具屍體。報案男子為一名工程公司人員，當時正於蠔涌路界咸村空地其中一個組合屋內拿取零件，於屋內發現一具男屍倒臥地上，屍身經已發臭，遂報警求助。
警方到場調查，發現男屍屍身發黑，相信已經死亡一段時間。有附近居民表示，一輛並不屬於村民的電單車已停泊超過10日，警方調查後，於死者身上發現一些雜物，包括一條車匙，並證實為該電單車車鎖匙。警方另外發現組合屋內大門及窗戶以牛皮膠紙封閉，初步調查不排除死者為自殺。警方正深入調查事故起因。 In Sai Kung today, a body was discovered in a village house on Hau Chung Road at around 1 p.m. The body was found by an employee of an engineering company who was retrieving parts from one of the village houses in Kui Ham Village on Hau Chung Road. Upon entering the house, he discovered the decomposing body of a man lying on the ground and immediately contacted the police for assistance.
Upon further investigation, the police found that the body was blackened, indicating that the man had been dead for some time. Several nearby residents reported that an electric motorcycle, which did not belong to any of the village residents, had been parked there for over 10 days. After investigating the scene, the police discovered several items on the deceased, including a key which was confirmed to be the key to the motorcycle. In addition, the door and windows of the village house were sealed with duct tape, leading to speculation that it could be a case of suicide.
The police are continuing to investigate the incident and have not yet released any official statement on the cause of the man's death.
