深水灣壽山村道一地盤發現疑似炸彈。下午約2時半，有工人在挖地期間發現地底有一枚疑似炸彈，負責人於是報警。警方連同爆炸品處理課人員到場處理，封鎖香島道至壽臣山道東之間的一段壽山村道，並疏散地盤內約30人。初步調查相信是一枚迫擊炮彈，直徑約3至4吋、長約12吋。下午約5時半爆炸品處理課人員即場引爆該枚炮彈。
A suspected bomb was found at a construction site on Shouson Hill Road in Deep Water Bay. At around 2:30 pm in the afternoon, a worker discovered what appeared to be a bomb while digging underground and alerted the site supervisor, who called the police. The police, along with explosives disposal personnel, arrived on the scene to handle the situation. They closed off a section of Shouson Hill Road between Hong Kong Island Road and Shouson Hill Road East and evacuated around 30 people from the construction site. Preliminary investigations suggest that it was a mortar shell with a diameter of about 3 to 4 inches and a length of about 12 inches. At around 5:30 pm in the afternoon, the explosives disposal personnel detonated the shell on the spot.
