警方交待案情：

今早11點45分，紅磡警署外發生警員開槍事件。據現場消息指警方早前接獲一名女車主報案指發現一部可疑車輛套上與女事主相同車牌，於是報警，警方於獅子山隧道發現可疑車輛，於是展開追逐，最後私家車於紅磡警署門外失事撞向鐵欄，司機反抗逃走，期間據稱警員曾兩度鳴槍，並制服一名人士，事件中無人受傷。而由於發生開槍事件，目前公主道往紅隧方向全線封閉。
警方表示一名男警務人員向該名司機發出口頭警告不果後，為保障自己及其他道路使用者安全，向私家車車身開了一槍。該輛私家車繼而向前撞向一輛警車，另一名男警務人員再向私家車上男司機發出口頭警告不果後，為保障自己及其他道路使用者安全，向私家車車身開了一槍。該輛私家車其後繼續向前行駛，最後撞向防撞欄後停下。
警方於該輛私家車內及現場檢獲約四十二克、共八十包懷疑可卡因，市值約六萬元。該輛私家車亦懷疑為失車。經調查後，拘捕私家車上一名二十五歲男司機。他涉嫌「販毒」、「駕駛時沒有有效駕駛執照」、「危險駕駛」、「行使虛假文書」及「駕駛時沒有第三者保險」，現正被扣留調查。
案件中沒有人受傷。案件由西九龍總區重案組跟進調查。
At 11.45am, Police received a report that a private car with suspected forged vehicle registration mark was spotted near the Lion Rock Tunnel on Waterloo Road towards Tsim Sha Tsui direction. Police sped to the scene and located the suspicious private car on Princess Margaret Road outside Hung Hom Police Station. When officers attempted to intercept the private car, the male driver inside the car did not comply with officer's instructions to stop and attempted to reverse and flee, colliding with another private car behind. A male police officer gave verbal warnings to the driver but in vain. For the safety of his own and other road users, he subsequently fired one shot at the car body.
The private car then rushed forward and rammed into a police vehicle, another male police officer gave verbal warnings to the driver again but also in vain. The private car continued to drive forward before eventually crashing into roadside barriers and stopping.
Approximately 42 grams of suspected cocaine, packaged in 80 bags with a total market value of about $60,000, were seized from the private car and the scene. The private car is also suspected to be a stolen car. Upon investigation, the 25-year-old male driveron the private car was arrested for trafficking in dangerous drugs, driving without a valid license, dangerous driving, using false instrument and driving without third party insurance. He is being detained for further enquiries.
No injuries were reported in the incident. Investigation by the Regional Crime Unit of Kowloon West is underway.
